SUMMARY:Use Proportionality to Right-Size eDiscovery Early: Go Lean and Save Green
DESCRIPTION:Join the ACEDS Central Texas Chapter for a webinar.\n\n\nSince the Federal Rule amendments in 2015 re-emphasized proportionality as a significant principle in relation to discovery\, organizations have struggled to operationalize the discovery process in a proportional yet defensible manner. What are the benefits of “right-sizing” discovery? What can be leveraged from the rules and relevant case law? What best practices can be deployed for quick evaluation of potentially relevant custodians and data sources and associated eDiscovery costs? For the past 16 months\, a group of 56 practitioners\, experts\, and judges have worked tirelessly to address these issues. The result is the recently introduced “Discovery Proportionality Model: A New Framework.” Join us for a conversational webinar that combines insights from committee members with practical recommendations for implementing these new guidelines into your practice: \n\nCase law and the value of proportionality\nWhen and how to start discovery scoping\nPractical means to improve eDiscovery cost management\n\nSpeakers:\n\n\n\nMandi Ross is the CEO and Managing Director of Insight Optix\, the company which developed a patented\, SAAS-based software called Evidence Optix®\, a powerful eDiscovery scoping\, proportionality\, and data source tracking workflow.
